82lb Blue Catfish

Wow what a night I had last night. Well actually this morning I guess it would be. 2 fish....100 lbs.

Well.. it's 5:38PM on Monday and I just got home. My face is hurting from smiling so dang much!!! I had an AWESOME time. Launched out of Dutch gap about 7AM with Scott (Gottafish). he had already taken the time and effort to catch bait, so we immediately started fishing. By 7:45AM, I landed my biggest fish ever, this 57lb blue cat. After landing a couple smaller ones, Scott landed one about 30lbs....but I cant find the picture I took... Today started out horrible I was wanting to fish for channel cats so I went to the bait shop to get some type of baitfish and they had none whatsoever. so I drove 30 miles to a creek I no to get some bait after numerous attempts I only caught two shad!! There we were sitting on a pontoon on Wyboo, an amazing lake for big cats in South Carolina. It was now good and dark, and we had already had an exciting day of fishing. Long night on the Ohio River

Monday evening I hooked up the boat and headed for the river, anticipating fishing until around 11 pm then heading back home. I set out the rods and had action within minutes. At around 10:30 I had a couple of barges go by, and I noticed that as usual, they were sucking the water right out from under my boat. No big deal, it will come back up, it always does. Hello Katmasters, I had to tell my full story! I knew we were in for a great night when we started out with a double. My buddies crossf and Jeremy Good landed a 30 and a 40! 20 mins later Jeremy landed another 20lb class fish so I was primed and ready to land one. 7/6 James River

Me, the wife and my son went out for a while this morning since my son has been begging to go out fishing on the boat. I have been trying to boat a big fish while he was with me for a while with no success. Finally got one this morning tho! Put in around 6am and a quick set of the gill net got us 3 shad for our short trip, which was plenty since we had decided to be off the water and out of the heat by 10am. Quick Trip To Clendening = NEW PB 40 lb Flathead

So here we go. On Saturday night I went fishing with my dad, my uncle and my younger cousin. We couldn't decide where to go until we were on the road, and we decided to make the trip to Clendening Reservoir in southern Ohio due to the prospect of possibly catching some flatheads along with the lake's many channels. Finally Broke 50!!!

Personal Best Blue Catfish

Well it keeps getting better each trip out. Not only was it easy to catch bait with the casting net. I even increased my PB today too.
